THIS IS MY ANCESTOR

Once children know what an ancestor is...

They investigate about their ancestors by using different information sources like old photos or objects, or even interviewing their grandparents.

After collecting the data, pupils write five things their ancestors did (positive) and five things their ancestors didn't do (negative) in the past by using regular and irregular verbs. Then, they include this information in a cardboard which shows a photo that represents their ancestors (AgingBooth application).

CHALLENGE. INFORMATION SOURCES

There are different information sources that can be really useful to discover the past. In this sense, students create a slide in powerpoint which includes the following points with the aim of learning about the past:

a) Title.
b) A picture of the selected information source (an old photo or object of their granparents or great grandparents...)
c)  A written text which comprises data about the selected information source (This is a.... of my... when he/she was... It was used to...).
